Hue Tower
Hue Tower is a colour sorting puzzle played with rings on pegs. Each level starts with mixed stacks, and your job is to rebuild them so that every peg holds a single colour. Some rings are grey question marks that only show their colour once the rings above them are gone, so you often have to commit to a plan before you can see the whole board. Every level is built by shuffling backwards from a finished board, which means it can always be solved within the moves you are given.
How to play
- Tap a peg to pick up its top rings, then tap another peg to drop them. You can also drag from one peg to another.
- All matching rings at the top of a peg move together, as many as the new peg has room for.
- Rings can only land on an empty peg or on a ring of the same colour.
- A full peg of one colour locks with a burst and scores points. Lock towers within four moves of each other to build a combo.
- Finish every tower before your moves run out. Number keys pick pegs on a keyboard.
- Once per level you can add an extra empty peg when you are stuck.
Tips
Keep an empty peg free for as long as you can, because it is the only place an unmatched ring can go. Uncover question marks early, since a hidden ring can change the whole plan. When two towers are nearly done, set them both up first and then finish them one after the other for the combo.
